BWRT® – BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®
An exciting, revolutionary, fast, solution-focused and evidence-based new model of Psychology and Psychotherapy

“You are today where your thoughts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you”. ~ James Allen

‘BWRT®’ stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI.

It’s a totally confidential method that does not require you to reveal your private information or personal secrets to your therapist and it is carried out in a completely conscious state.

It does not use hypnosis or any concepts that might be considered mystical or unscientific – it’s completely logical, practical and down-to-earth, and for it to succeed only needs you to know what you want to change in your life.

Certified Advanced BWRT PractitionerOnly Certified Practitioners have been trained to deliver BWRT® and all have to adhere to a strict ethical code.

How does Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT®) work?

BWRT® is a new model of psychology and psychotherapy that fits well with current thinking on neurosciences.

The concept of BWRT® was born from Benjamin Libet’s (a pioneer scientist in the field of human consciousness) research on free will. In 1983, Libet effectively proved that we do not actually have free will in the way we usually think of it.

During therapy, the client is guided to come up with new ways of reacting and behaving to situations or events which are causing the problem. This will be the determinant of the success of the therapy.

This is done in a completely ‘awake’ state. No hypnosis or any mysterious ideas are used. It is completely safe, logical and down-to-earth.

BWRT® is truly a revolutionary method of working and clients comment on feeling lighter, and a lot more confident. Others are happy to have tools to use on their own.

BWRT® is being used successfully on Skype and that’s a real help for people who prefer not to have face to face therapy.

A non-hypnosis practice, totally client-centered and for the most part content free

BWRT® is almost all content free, so clients do not have to recycle painful thoughts. Instead, they create new thought patterns process which helps make the required changes.

BWRT® addresses issues relating to:

  • Relationship Problems
  • Depression
  • Low Self-Image
  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Fears
  • PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
  • Eating Disorders
  • Addictions & Substance Abuse*
  • Bullying (relationship or school)
  • Sleep Issue
  • Sport Performance

*NB: BWRT® is not intended to replace any necessary Detox Routines for Alcoholism or Substance Abuse but to work as an adjunct either alongside or after it.

What happens during the sessions?

During the sessions, I will explain how BWRT® works and how it can help you create new thought patterns and free you from your issue.

You will tell me about your situation and what you want to work on, but I will not need to know all the details and you will not need to disclose deeply sensitive or intimate details that you do not want to discuss.

The use of the recursive looping process, along with repetition and rehearsal of a new thought pattern will cement and strengthen a new desired behavioural response.

The number of sessions will depend on the issues and the client’s situation. We will discuss this during our initial session.

If your condition requires that you have visited a doctor prior to having therapy, we will discuss this.

Research

Over two years of testing and thousands of clients who have benefit from BWRT® show that the changes made appear to be permanent and there is no evidence of symptom substitution.

BWRT® in the world

BWRT® is making leaping progress around the world with therapists in Europe, Australia and South Africa and Level 2 Training taking place in the UK and South Africa, where Level 1 Training is being taught by an eminent Clinical Psychologist, who has adopted BWRT® as his therapy of choice and who teaches BWRT® to other Psychologists in the University of Johannesburg.

Conscious of keeping up with the modern request for fast results, like many therapists I fell in love with BWRT® as it is the perfect therapy to provide my clients with fast and reliable changes that will free them from their issues.

In the Middle East, I am the first therapist to have completed and qualified for BWRT® Level 2, but I am confident that therapists will soon follow, especially since BWRT® Level 1 & Level 2 Training have now been accepted for Continual Professional Development by the British Psychological Society Learning Centre in the UK.

Testimonials

“I found BWRT therapy to be a highly effective technique which helped me to find strength in situations that once would have caused great anxiety. I felt more in touch with myself after this therapy and I love that I can access the techniques at any time. I also loved how quickly this therapy takes to work. You can go from a situation that once caused great pain, to a place of calm so quickly. I really loved the speed at which this therapy works. This therapy has given me tools which I will use indefinitely. Evelyne was a fantastic, supportive person to work with and has helped me immeasurably.” L.S., Dubai

“What I liked about working with BWRT is that I did not feel ‘stuck in the therapy’. It is kind of a ‘quick fix’ yet with deep work happening. I physiologically felt my brain participating with rich visuals, imageries and sensations during the sessions. I felt much more confident and I’m looking forward to putting into practice my new knowledge.” M., Dubai
