Clinical Hypnotherapy is a short-term, fast, safe and reliable therapy which helps people overcome undesirable habits, reach their own goals and bring their dream into reality.
With Clinical Hypnotherapy, I help my clients become more self-reliant and in better control of their own life. Great outcomes are achieved with only a few sessions.
Clinical Hypnotherapy is used to address symptoms of Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Weight Management, Insomnia, Sexual Dysfunction, Eating Disorders. It is also used to help with Relationship Concerns, Sport Performance, Stop Smoking, Fears and Phobia and Pain Management.
What does Clinical Hypnotherapy involve?
During the sessions, the therapist uses Hypnosis. With the use of a low soft voice the client attains a deep relaxed state. To an onlooker, it might seem that the client is asleep. It is the same lovely feeling you have when you have just woken up and you are so relaxed and comfortable that you don’t really want to get up.
Hypnosis a natural state we experience many times a day, whilst we are fully engaged in a book, a film or an occupation which fully focusses our mind. Have you ever experienced driving and arriving at your destination but not remembering parts of the journey, especially if you were on a motorway?
A person can’t be hypnotised unless they want to. Because all hypnosis is self-hypnosis and nobody can be hypnotised without their consent, the client and the therapist work together in a professional partnership.
Remember: hypnosis is self-hypnosis, so if at any time you feel uncomfortable, you can easily come out of hypnosis by opening your eyes and shifting your body.
Stage hypnosis is very different. It is meant for entertainment and does not have any therapeutic intention. Even then, people who are hypnotised on stage are doing it because they want to.
During our first session we will work out what your needs are. We will review the detailed intake questionnaire you will have filled in prior to our session. Then we will decide together on the best plan of action.
I will also teach you some relaxation techniques and auto-suggestions to start addressing your issues.
During the following sessions, we will use self-hypnosis and therapy to facilitate the required changes, through the discovery and release of the cause of your issue.
Suggestions and imagery will help your subconscious relearn so that you consciously gain a new perspective and a new understanding of your problem, its causes and solutions.
Aim of Hypnotherapy
Clinical Hypnotherapy is a client-centred therapy which aims to help clients have a different perspective of the problems they are facing. With the use of therapy, suggestions and imagery, they will gain a better understanding the causes of, and the solutions to their issues.
