A research-based and tested psychoeducational workshop. Developed by renowned relationship and parenting experts, Drs. John & Julie Gottman.
Dedicated to improving the quality of life of babies and children by strengthening their parents and family bonds.
Why Attend the Workshop?
Entering parenthood elevates your relationship to a new dimension. Are you ready for the life changes you are about to experience?
Navigating transformation
It's crucial to prepare and fortify your connection as you navigate the transformations that come with becoming parents.
While you've acquired all the essential baby items, set up the nursery, and attended childbirth education classes, readiness for the profound changes in your relationship is equally vital.
Inevitable shifts
Feeling well-prepared for the imminent birth and bringing your baby home is a significant step. Yet, have you considered preparing for the inevitable shifts your relationship will undergo once the baby arrives?
A significant drop in relationship quality
Even the most robust relationships face challenges during the transition to parenthood - research shows that 2/3 of new parents experience a significant drop in relationship quality and have a dramatic increase in conflict and hostility.
Factors such as sleep deprivation, never-ending household responsibilities, and new financial concerns contribute to elevated stress levels and a decline in relationship satisfaction. Importantly, these factors also impact the care provided to the baby.
Bringing Baby Home Programme, an evidence-based couples workshop, is designed to strengthen the core of the couple's relationship, fostering co-parenting skills and long-term satisfaction to support the growth of your family.

Workshop Facilitator
I’m an experienced Mental Health & Relationship Coach trained in major Couples Therapies.
Hearing about my clients’ struggles when they transitioned from being just the two of them to becoming a family encouraged me to become a BBH Programme Educator. I appreciate the comprehensive, psycho-educational approach and the research-based and tested information it delivers. Finally, I'm a mother of 3 now grown-up children (including twins)and I remember well the rollercoaster days of becoming a parent. I wish I’d had the BBH Programme at that time! FAQs
The Bringing Baby Home Programme is informative and educational. It is not therapy and can’t replace therapy. If you feel overwhelmed, stressed, depressed, or you and your partner are in a bad place and you are fighting a lot, please reach out, book a free call and we can discuss a plan of action to help you.
The programme is open to couples who are planning on having a baby, couples who are expecting a baby and couples who are already parenting an infant or a toddler (0 to 3 years). Whilst it’s more beneficial if both parents attend the workshop, your circumstances might mean that only one of you attends, and that’s okay.
Yes, there are restrictions. The workshop is not recommended if there is severe relationship distress, if there is emotional or physical abuse, if there is active addiction and if there are serious mental health problems in one or both partners. Please reach out and book a free call to discuss the help you can get.
Absolutely not. You will not be asked to openly share your personal details with the whole group. All intimate and personal discussions during the experiential exercises will take place only between you and your partner. Larger group sharing is limited and optional.
You and your partner will gain increased confidence in working as a team. You will build a strong emotional foundation in your family so that your child grows in a healthy and happy environment. You will build a supportive community of fellow parents and continue to have access to valuable resources to help you navigate parenthood.
Can I bring my baby to the workshop?
The programme offers a range of resources during the class (including a comprehensive workbook for you to take home) as well as a private Facebook support group, and educational materials. It covers topics such as the role of the parents, postpartum adjustment, and building a strong parent-child bond.
Bringing your baby to the workshop is not a requirement for our work. However, you can bring your newborn baby (up to 12 months) to the workshop (no other children please, as this is very much your time). This can be a great opportunity to learn while caring for your baby and getting support from others in the group.
