Creating Harmony in Your Family Life
Find the support and guidance you need to navigate life's challenges and create a more harmonious family dynamic.
Strengthen Your Family Bonds Through Open Communication
Attachment Theory has ‘scientifically’ put a name on what we as humans have always known: ‘We just want to be loved!’ When our most innate needs for emotional connection and support are being met by loved ones, we feel good about ourselves, we feel accepted and safe, we feel loved.
This ‘I just want to be loved!’ longing and need for safety from loved ones started at birth and will go on for our whole life. No wonder therefore that family dynamics and relationships significantly impact the psychological well-being of each family member.
With therapeutic tools from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Satir Family System, Imago Therapy, family dynamics can transform and stronger secure emotional bonds can be created. Transgenerational trauma can be healed, trust can be rebuilt, and joy can be rediscovered.
Families seek help with communication difficulties, unresolved conflicts, blended family challenges, parenting issues, and transitions (e.g., divorce, grief). Working with a family is like being in a team, everyone has a role to play and together we work towards the goals of the family.
All the while keeping the emphasis on emotional validation, empathy, and creating a secure base for each family member to foster healing and growth within the family system.
Some common issues that I work with include:
- Communication Patterns
- Conflicts between Family Members
- Addiction
- Problem Solving
- Crisis Intervention (Divorce, Grief, Arrival of a New Baby)
- Cultural Considerations
- Parenting

If your family is experiencing a wide range of issues, including communication problems, conflict resolution, parenting challenges, addiction, mental health issues, grief, and major life transitions you can benefit from family therapy/coaching. It is suitable for families of all types, including nuclear families, blended families, and extended families.
Trained in several Relationship and Family Therapies, I help families understand and resolve their issues by encouraging open communication, exploring family dynamics, and developing strategies to improve relationships. Sessions can be structured with all family members present or with subsets of the family, depending on the situation.
This will vary depending on the complexity of the issues and what you want to achieve. Some issues can be addressed in a few sessions, while others may require longer work. We work together to review progress and ascertain remaining goals.
It's essential to be open, honest, and committed to the process. Be willing to participate actively, practice between sessions the skills you learnt in the sessions and communicate your goals and concerns.
I’m trained to be culturally sensitive and respectful of the values and beliefs of diverse families. If cultural factors are relevant to your family's issues, it's important to discuss them with me during our work together.
